Really great series...the way you connect with the characters see how the evolve and at the same time witness the history of New York.....

I knew about the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling before and was a fan of Marc Marion's anyway. That being said, this is more entertaining than one might expect. One need not be a fan of any kind of wrestling but it helps. Flawed characters but you will root for them one minute and throw your hands up others. If you don't want to see strong, flawed women, don't bother. Otherwise, tag in and watch it.

F@cking D.S. knows how to tell a story and expose the truth. Glad i m around to see his work

The Deuce is dense and almost mythically fascinating; in other words, it's a perfect -- albeit bleak -- representation of 1970s New York City.

La historia, la ambientación y los personajes son grandiosos en esta historia sobre los origines del porno en esta zona de Nueva York que se transformaría en Times Square en un par de décadas.
  • Oct 28, 2019
The show and it characters feel so real that you basically relive the period with them. Great show.

This is a very interesting depiction of sex and New York. I loved it.

A very entertaining romp with a fantastic performance from Maggie Gylenhall. Having Franco in one of the lead roles is a bit of a problem for me as he comes across as quite slimey, and with the subject matter and what is going on in Hollywood at the moment, it feels a bit wrong to have him in this part. If you can get past this then it's definitely worth a watch. One thing I have to ask-did people dress like this in the 70s? Whenever there is a film/show in this era then it's like the costume designers collectively lose the plot and dress people up in some badass gear. But seriously, DID PEOPLE DRESS LIKE THIS!

Plodding pace and some poor casting. Watchable but not recommendable.
  • Dec 29, 2018
A powerful character drama from David Simon that remains highly watchable its entire runtime.
