Creepy and well-acted, The Devil's Hour is a superlative horror series that will have viewers doubting reality as much as its haunted characters.

This supernatural-tinged one is a doozy: suspenseful, well-acted and full of surprises. Go to Full Review

I, for one, am convinced enough by the early episodes to stick around and find out exactly how creepy a kid we’re dealing with this Halloween. Go to Full Review

It's perfectly watchable if all you're after is good old Halloween scare, but anything more and you might want to look elsewhere. Go to Full Review

Several corpses and authentic horror scenes round out this mystery that unfolds episode by episode, and that leaves you wanting more. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The series hooks you from the jump with a foreboding, contentious confrontation between a bruised and bloodied Lucy and a sinister, monologuing suspect in shackles (Peter Capaldi, Doctor Who). Go to Full Review

Dave N @DNeale Jun 1 Great acting, writing and atmosphere and overall just well put together. It could have been one of my favourite shows if not that the story was just... well, boring. By episode 2 I had figured out broadly what was going on (except for the specific reasons for her boy's odd behaviour) and I imagine most viewers will have, and yet the show still acts as if what is going on is some big mystery, painfully drip feeding you hints over FOUR more episodes before finally explaining in episode 6 what you worked out almost 5 hours earlier. Once I had got the big picture, I wanted it confirmed and then for the show to move into new territory, but as it was, I almost stopped watching multiple times and I wouldn't have been too bothered if I never saw the final episode. It just wasn't gripping. But it was very well made and original, and now we have the explanation for the big picture stuff out the way, maybe season 2 can actually get interesting, so I think I'll give it a shot. See more Paul T @Pazrock Mar 4 Very Gripping and keeps you guessing. Great acting as well. See more Michael T @Tur7on 01/27/2025 Love this series, something totally new Peter Capoldi's crowning moment. A young woman who fears she has hereditary schizophrenia finds out that there is more to existence than she could ever imagine, all while she and the police are trying to catch a serial killer See more Tobias K @Tobiassssssss 10/27/2024 Mixing a bag of a couple genres (moving from a family drama to a horror story before embracing the police starting their serial killer hunt) this show is a proof to why excellent writing matters so much. Throwing in great performances by Raine and Capaldi (his presence is strongly felt, although he remains in a narrative function most of the episodes), I suddenly found myself wondering, why I have avoided thriller series for so long. See more Maryse M @RT98313500 10/27/2024 From the opening scene it is evident that everyone involved got the assignment. Brilliantly edited with highly creative scene transition that move the story along effectively between timelines. Great attention to details throughout, little things that complete every scene. There is the distinct impression that we are watching a narrative with a forgone conclusion, that season 1 has been created with a definite end and not written as a pilot with subsequent seasons to be written if funded. The entire cast is solid, no weak performance. See more Jakob F @RT09328015 10/25/2024 An engrossing, spine-chilling, labyrinthine rollercoaster of a rabbit hole, the 1st season fashions a trailblazing fantasy-oriented interpretation of a longstanding sci-fi trope, employing second-to-none editing to throw the mind-boggling serial-killer mystery into overdrive as it’s unreliable narrator’s reality progressively unravels till they reach an earth-shattering revelation.
