If you choose to follow James and Allysa on their journey, lean into the black comedy and let it swallow you up. You'll be much more satisfied if you do.

With a certain 'indie' and black comedy tone and a groundbreaking premise, this British series follows in eight brief chapters the odyssey of two young people and their path of personal discovery. [Full Review in Spanish]

If you have four hours to spare, the show is worth watching.

...if you give this quirky and jaded gem a chance, it will deliver a sweet and honest story about young love that is deeply relatable to anyone who has has been an angst-ridden teenager.

The likeability factor of TEOTFW, as far as I'm concerned, is nigh zero on paper, but it's astronomical onscreen. I'm genuinely excited to see where it goes.

TEOTFW offers everything you want out of a good teen flick: Two kids against the world, a ride-or-die road trip, a sing-along-worthy soundtrack, actual complex teen characters - all dealt with in a mature way.

James and Alyssa could easily come across as extremely irritating and to some, the mannered performances might be off-putting, but Lawther and Barden are so engaging that their dysfunctional love story carries a surprising amount of emotional weight.

The characters' existential crises are faced with deadpan humor, as well as the softness that accompanies young love.

It's a jet-black premise, handled with a light touch.

With nihilism ever present in the air, Netflix's comedy couldn't have a more fitting title. But its mining of warmth and romance out of bleakness and pessimism is just as resonant.

... it's here, it's weird, and it ends up being really wonderful.
