Boonprakob’s script (written with five other screenwriters, no less) deftly holds together all the moving parts. The action is well paced and well shot, with fun flourishes such as time-freeze segments. Go to Full Review

The action switches from courtroom theatrics to serpentine backstories while dabbling into Jittri’s background and showing how she navigates their way through a corrupt system where justice remains elusive unless you take drastic measures. Go to Full Review

Unlike polished legal dramas, The Evil Lawyer feels grounded and textured. I find it embraces its environment fully, including climate and atmosphere. Go to Full Review

The Evil Lawyer is a bit overdramatic, but it sets up an intriguing scenario where Jittri and Mek defend more impossible clients while Mek faces his own fate in court. Go to Full Review

Something S @RT88306406 Jun 22 Deliciously twisty and scandalous, The Evil Lawyer unmasks the Thai justice system and government's corruption to reveal its darkest side. It's a beautiful Thai spin on the morally grey courtroom drama. Jittri and Mek despite having clear cut characters at the beginning, develop throughout the series and learn from eachother and every case. Even minor protagonists like Ang have their own full arcs with their payoff. Even with its episodic format, The Evil Lawyer has a clear direction and never feels lost. Both the individual cases and the overarching plot combine to create a mystery with layers and different ends that are satisfyingly explored. I honestly can't put into the review how utterly amazing I thought this series was, so I hope that professional reviewers can put it into better words. (Also, the crititcs saying that the villains are cartoonishly evil and corrupt, I think it's a privilege to be able to think that way, in Thailand, this is the reality) See more Ratchata C @rchta Jun 21 There's no out of reality situation in this show. Every stories in every episodes are related, they're connected into a whole one big story. The show switched back and forth between the present and the past without boredom atmosphere. See more Derek B. @vertabrae Jun 19 This show just kept getting better and better. I started watching this because I love Thailand and have found some gems in their movies and series in the past. But this was on another level. It managed to weave a complicated story while never feeling convoluted. I could easily follow the well written and thought out storylines and became invested in the complex characters. The director must have really known what he was doing because there wasn’t a weak performance in the entire cast. Every actor nailed their roles and added to the complexity of their character’s story. The leads were especially compelling. I liked the first episode a lot and each episode just seemed to top the previous one. Loved it! See more Ratchanon I @RT82030321 Jun 19 The Evil Lawyer is probably one of the best Thai series I’ve watched in years. The story kept me hooked all the way through, and I was always looking forward to the next episode. For some reason, I got much more invested in this show than I usually do, and I honestly haven’t felt that way about a series in a long time. Great cast, great story, and definitely worth watching! See more Andrew W @RT14410984 Jun 19 I can't believe how good it was. I never watch series of any kind and I just turned it on randomly to watch during dinner. I got so engrossed that I bing watched the entire series until 3:30am. I have never done that before in my life and I hope I never do it again 8-) But the characters and plot lines were just so engrossing I couldn't tear myself away from it. I hope there is a season 2!
