What to Know

Critics Consensus

With Elizabeth Reaser as a charming lead, The Ex List may not be exceptional material, but its silly premise is pleasant enough to entertain casual viewers.

Huge thanks go to Reaser, whose Bella is the kind of woman you don't see much on TV: She's easygoing, reasonable, and funny in a way that's actually funny. Go to Full Review

On the plus side, Reaser is enormously appealing as Bella, a thirtysomething woman who's reconsidering her choices. It doesn't hurt, either, that the show's San Diego setting is sunny and presumably corpse-free. Go to Full Review
Nancy DeWolf Smith Wall Street Journal 10/03/2019
Although the show may ring bells for women first, there is enough lively (if sometimes explicit) dialogue and reliable sexual appeal in all this to keep intuitive male viewers interested. Unless the pilot is the last time it gets this good. Go to Full Review
