Critic Reviews for The Flight Attendant Miniseries

All Critics (63) | Top Critics (27)

A nice reboot, without heaviness. Flighty and fun, with a little suspense...

Mar 1, 2021 | Full Review…

Writer/producer Yockey (adapting Chris Bohjalian's 2018 book) gives Cassie enough history to make her feel real, even when she's living through goofy, surreal circumstances. Plus, Cuoco nails every beat of the genre-shifting script.

Dec 22, 2020 | Rating: B | Full Review…

The Flight Attendant is funny and dark and surprising, and it successfully walks the knife edge of making a central character both a rootable protagonist and kind of a garbage person some of the time.

Dec 1, 2020 | Full Review…

Like the best of all such genre-melding stories, it's a lot more complicated ... thanks in no small part to a career-best performance from Kaley Cuoco.

Nov 27, 2020 | Full Review…

It's a lot of fun, if you're willing to go along for a ride that doesn't always track but almost always entertains. It's a thriller, and it's a drama, but it's also almost a comedy, with a brisk pace and a playful tone.

Nov 24, 2020 | Full Review…

Prestige TV has started taking itself ponderously seriously, but The Flight Attendant does precisely the opposite and is all the more enjoyable for it. Expertly teetering between black comedy and pulpy thriller, this is a hell of a ride.

Mar 19, 2021 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

It's funny, it's dark, it's frustrating - and it's just what we need to escape some the real-life drama going on right now.

Nov 18, 2020 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

I's wild, wacky and brilliantly acted -- Cassie is a real tour de force -- with enticing international travel as part of its raison d'être.

Mar 29, 2021 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

There's a touch of Hitchcock about The Flight Attendant... But the fast paced editing, the frequent breaking of the fourth wall, and the poptastic soundtrack, place the show firmly in the feminist 2020s.

Mar 26, 2021 | Full Review…

The first episode of The Flight Attendant just flies by (sorry again!). It's a glossy, pulpy, propulsive mystery, peppered with black humour.

Mar 18, 2021 | Full Review…

Touching down somewhere between guilty pleasure and smartly crafted murder-mystery, The Flight Attendant is a delight.

Feb 14, 2021 | Full Review…

Twisted and clever and truly suspenseful.

Audience Reviews for The Flight Attendant: Miniseries

  • Apr 05, 2021
The death mystery has little mystery in it and spirals down into vast arms smuggling gang which doesn't seem to care much for the alcoholic airhostess (played by Penny (TBT), sorry Kaley Cuoco, although similar action but every more annoying). For most part of this miniseries, Kaley will be able to get away with most of her actions with limited consequences. Yes, the show tries to remind you that by saying "she should've been dead by now". Everyone is forgiving or careless of her and her actions throughout. In the finale, Kaley literally walks through the set to commemorate the end of the series which will be a relief for more viewers. Yes, her arc might've be complete at the end of the series but none of that feels right. I don't know what the "Critics" were smoking when they watched this, but that RT score is utter garbage.

Kinda boring. And, the ongoing conversations she has with the dead guy just seem like annoying interruptions. The professional critics really got this one wrong.
  • Apr 03, 2021
I can sum up this show in two words: I'm hooked.
  • Apr 03, 2021
Don't think I've ever seen such a crass take on dark issues like mental health, alcoholism, and murder. To qualify as "dark humour" it would need to be funny. Don't understand why it got good reviews.
  • Apr 02, 2021
Kaley Cuoco is the only savings grace to this show, which is otherwise boring, meandering and not very interesting. It doesnt help that the other best actor of the show is a ghost throughout the season and thus is not coming back, so there isnt much to look forward to.
  • Apr 01, 2021
A fast paced dark Romcom mixed with a Hitchcock Thriller with smart and humorously writing, great acting and a jazzy score
  • Mar 29, 2021
Couldn't finish the season. Can't believe this got such a high rating.
  • Mar 28, 2021
Wasn't expecting much, but really enjoyed it.
  • Mar 27, 2021
First class series - engaging, interesting
  • Mar 26, 2021
I can't understand why the critic RT score is so high, as the viewer score really nails it. A very average thriller, mostly stock characters, but in fairness to Kaley Cuoco she plays her role reasonably well. I Forced myself to watch to the end of the first episode, but not 100% sure if the rest of the series is a good way to spend my time.
