John K @WQCMI Dec 29 Not as good as Season 1, but its very watchable. The only issue I have with it is that they had a story arc in the Nativity special and the first two episodes of this season, but in the 3rd episode to the very end, the storyline gets ditched abruptly with no explanation, but I still like this series overall. See more AnActor E @RT16798608 12/12/2024 Comedy is probably the most difficult of the Dramas, since each human being has their own understanding of what is funny, and the variety and quality of Comedy, even at its apex, can vary greatly. “The Goes Wrong Show” attempts to present a misfit theatre company enacting onstage productions, only for everything to err and explode in disaster. Much like the myriad American high school productions that torture countless families across that nation, this British show leans heavily on ineptitude, slapstick, bad production quality and lack of preparation for its laughs. Sadly, this approach leaves “The Goes Wrong Show” in a very immature tone; one that can be very hit or miss in the eyes of its audience. Having absolutely adored Peter Sellers as a child, I often fell off my chair, sides hurting, at his incredibly wonderful slapstick and innovative theatricality, only to find myself yawning and frustrated at the efforts of Henry Lewis and his cast. Doubtless, a great deal of tedium, concern and effort have gone into each and every episode of this series; sadly, the magic simply did not manifest for me. I wish I could claim otherwise, but integrity is the basis of all progress, and I am on a mission to improve the film industry thru honesty and clarification. However, because I know full well that Comedy is so idiosyncratic, I will rate this show middling and leave the true criticism to the expert: you. See more Read all reviews
