The second season of The Gone feels like it’s trying to maintain stories from the first season while plunging its characters into a new mystery. It makes for a more scattered season, but still one that has enough dramatic potential to hook viewers. Go to Full Review

But this second season, which has more of a soap opera vibe about it, already seems to be falling below even the extremely modest standard set by its predecessor. Go to Full Review

Joan S @RT82873442 May 29 While the show is a damn great mystery it is also an in-depth look at how we humans feel about those gone before reflected by our upbringing. Season two can’t be the end though as we are just beginning to understand the characters better and there are still a lot of unanswered questions in the plot. Bring on season three. Enjoyable acting, great settings and a plot with twists and turns, what’s not to like. See more Mrs R @MrsRusch Apr 8 I was enjoying this program, binge watching seasons one and two together, when the makers of this show did something that was not only totally unnecessary and out of place for the location, but it is a direct and violent attack on over 200 million people in a completely different and unrelated country! This show deals a lot with racial hate between the maoris and the English. Since it's New Zealand, that makes sense. Although I think harping on 200 y/o animosity is ridiculous since no one alive today were involved. However, regardless of that, in the middle of episode 5, season 2, they show a guy's room that's filled w/kay-ka-qay stuff indicating the man is a racist against maoris. Why then would the show runners intentionally place a make America great again hat right next to the photo of the men in hoods?!? WTH did Americans ever do to the freaking moaris?!? How dare they insinuate that loving our own country automatically makes us these hooded monsters?!?! How dare they!!!!! See more Christine B @Librarian Dec 12 I loved this show! They need to give us more and resolve the story about the killer. See more Marny C @RT69481071 Sep 10 I was invested in the program right through to the end of Season 2. I am so disappointed with the ending. Lazy writing and cheap marketing for Season 3. See more Paul T @RT19736458 Sep 8 If you like slow moving soap operas this might be for you, the first series was okish, but this a series too far See more Tony G @RT92759963 Aug 10 Great characters and did enjoy series 2 until the last episode then found no real conclusion, just another cliff hanger. The series appears to have become more a soap opera than a mystery thriller. Great shame. See more Read all reviews
