When Eleanor Shellstrop finds herself in the afterlife, she's both relieved and surprised that she's made it into the Good Place. But it doesn't take long for Eleanor to realize she's there by mistake. She hides in plain sight from the Good Place's architect, Michael, and his all-knowing assistant, Janet. Her seemingly perfect neighbors, Tahani and Jason, and open-hearted soul mate, Chidi, help her realize that it's never too late to change. With the help of her new friends -- and a few enemies -- Eleanor becomes determined to shed her old way of life in hopes of discovering a new one in the afterlife.

★★★★★ The Good Place is, without exaggeration, one of the smartest, funniest, and most profoundly moving sitcoms ever made. What starts as a clever high-concept comedy ("What if there’s an afterlife… but someone ended up there by mistake?") slowly reveals itself to be a masterful exploration of ethics, personal growth, forgiveness, and what it actually means to be a good person. Michael Schur and the writers pull off the impossible: they make philosophy hilarious, heartfelt, and genuinely exciting. The cast is perfect: Kristen Bell’s Eleanor is chaotic sunshine, Ted Danson’s Michael is a gift to humanity, William Jackson Harper’s Chidi is painfully relatable, Jameela Jamil’s Tahani is iconic, Manny Jacinto’s Jason is pure genius, and D’Arcy Carden’s Janet deserves every award in existence. Four seasons of non-stop twists (some of the biggest "holy forking shirtballs" moments in TV history), laugh-out-loud gags, and surprisingly deep emotional punches. By the finale, you’re crying over a sitcom that once made you laugh about a giant shrimp flying through the sky. It’s comfort food that also rewires your brain and makes you want to be better tomorrow than you were today. Watched it three times and I still tear up at the door. The Good Place isn’t just good TV; it’s good for the soul. 10/10. Take it sleezy. ❤️

The Good Place continues to be as unpredictable as it is funny and heartfelt throwing its story and characters into more bonkers situations while it nears the finish line.

There's nothing like watching your favorite characters overcome a variety of challenges and come out all the better for it. The Good Place does a remarkable job of showing you exactly who each person is and who they can be under a myriad of circumstances. If the show hasn't made you cry yet, this season most likely will.
