It's a great tribute to the presence of Sandi Toksvig, and particularly Noel Fielding, that we hardly miss them at all.

Yet it's generally as you were: same tent, same cloying music, same voiceovers in which Fielding sounds strangely flat. The only difference is that he's had a haircut and Paul Hollywood looks as if he's lost weight.

I admit I was not prepared to let the Channel 4 episodes of Baking Show into my heart, but they won me over.

Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding have settled into a nice rhythm, to the point where everyone can take part in a Back to the Future parody sketch poking fun at a game Prue for prematurely tweeting the name of last year's winner.
