rf T @RT24428741 4 days ago I enjoyed the series and both seasons until the last 2 episodes of season 2 where the youngest son comes out as a queer. REALLY?? It had a decent, normal story line with somewhat historical accuracy until they pushed the DEI into it. Please quit imposing this garbage on the 90% of the population who just wants a good, decent story without the liberal alphabet agenda. They were the only family to think of that in a fishing town. Okay, they also won the lottery betting on a penny stock, but that was only after they got that money by frying fish. You know right away that Liza will end up with Callum and that Blackwood is a fraud. The show telegraphs Harry’s storyline with his tutor the second they look at each other, purely to tick a modern diversity box. It's not exactly nuanced but were here for the drama and seeing the Hardacres triumph over their snobby neigh sayers. The costumes and setting post fish gutting are gorgeous. I do not know what I would do without my British television shows. The Hardacres is one of the most refreshing period pieces I have had the pleasure of watching. The story line, the casting, and the setting are unsurpassed. Liam McMahon, Claire Cooper, Julie Graham, Cathy Belton, and so many upcoming actors draw us into their characters. You love these characters from the first few minutes. I highly recommend placing this on your watch list. I am desperate for Season 2. You will fall in love with this family.
