What emerges is a stunning portrait of British bourgeois life in the 1970s and 1980s.

If the final twist is that Causley's murdered wife, Carole, was actually abducted by Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson in a stolen Tardis, it'll come as something of an anti-climax.

True, the series - made by Simon Cowell's Syco company - couldn't find out what it couldn't find out, if you get my drift, but it was sold to us as one thing and turned out to be another.

    so bad. waste of time.

This is a poorly produced series. A woman goes missing. And aparently so did the editior of this series. It could have been a compelling, one-hour program. But each episode starts with a lengthy recap of what happened in the last episodes. Even the first episode reverts to a review about half way through. The story itself is bizarre and fascinating, but the constant repetition of the narrative makes it mind-numbing. I had to keep my finger on the Fast Forward button to make it bearable. The visuals were equally repetitious. It seems that the producer only had three photos of one key subjects of the investigation. So each time her story was referenced those same visuals were used. This just doesn't make sense for the Netflix platform.

    Like, the perfect true-crime mini-binge

The narrative is quite of interesting, however the end is a shit.

Earnest but so tedious and boring and slow! Could have told the while story in an episode amd a half. And every episode spent 3 minutes reviewing the previous episode. Help! Could only make it half way thru second episode. So sick of husband, Russell. Can you put someone in jail for being a jerk batterer and a sad excuse of a husband?

Endlessly repetitive, about 45 minutes of material spread over 4 episodes. And at the end we realize - spoiler alert! - that the 'investigator' discovered absolutely nothing new!!

Could not even make it through the first episode. Very dry and slow moving.
