Beyond a greater degree of comfort in the characters, the reason here for the rise in quality (and proper laughs) is better focus in the writing, and the swap of Chris Morris' distracting CEO for the welcome addition of Garth Marenghi's Matt Berry. Go to Full Review

Thanks to expanding the universe beyond the dingy walls of Reynholm Industries' basement and playing to the core cast's strengths, The IT Crowd's second season is its strongest. Go to Full Review

The gang on The IT Crowd are somehow friends despite the odds, and the show really picks up in season two. No, really, start with Work Outing. Go to Full Review

Joe L @Hoagie1013 Apr 10 The whole season was fantastic. But the first episode had me crying I was laughing so much. See more Free S @FreeStalker 07/14/2024 It's brilliant! I wish they did more seasons! See more John F @RT62184675 09/30/2023 The Second Reynholm is funny even today. See more Rider5D_rly @RT66963722 07/04/2023 One of Matt Berry's iconic performances: as Douglas. Reynholm's dead! It's sad we could not see him anymore because of his work on other shows. This show is still a blast though without him. See more Jonathan K @NojEsco 08/12/2022 The first episode was absolutely brilliant, and I do like the character of Douglas more than his father, however I can't say I liked Season 2 as much as Season 1. Season 1 had a more reckless energy to it, and perhaps worse, Season 2 has LONG moments of embarrassment, where all you can do is cringe (even when it's legitimately being funny). Season 1 was virtually devoid of this entirely, beyond maybe one or two minutes when everyone believed Jen was dead, but there's one episode (involving a Dinner Party - for some reason a popular one on the IMDB, as it's easily my least favorite episode thus far), where the humiliation the characters face is for pretty much the entire episode. It's sad, as there are some bits that are genuinely laugh-out-loud funny, such as an exaggerated Anti-Piracy ad at the start of one episode, and the characters of Jen, Moss and Roy are still extremely entertaining characters (albeit they come across as slightly less innocent at times this Season). Still, I'm more than looking forward to continuing with them for the rest of the show, and overall I think this second Season was hugely entertaining, complaints aside.
