Waaaay too much gayness per capita to the point it’s clearly forced and therefore distracting to what the show could’ve been. Far too much departure from the source material, story elements being told in the wrong place, sub par acting. Isabela Merced as Dina and Young Mazino as Jesse were very, very good though. When I mentioned departure from the source material, I mean to the stage where it has become a totally different story in parts. I look forward to seeing more Kaitlyn Dever as Abby. I loved seeing Catherine O'Hara as a character too. There are many poignant parts of this story (in the game) that are completely defecated on from great heights and it sucks that they have taken one of the best games of a generation and turned it into a horrific adaptation. People who have never played the games might well love this but the story telling is a slap in the face to the people who have supported the game and studio through every remaster and release of this game. If HBO were set on a Last of Us story, they should have set it in the universe. Not allow Mazin to butcher it. The casting again was subpar and the acting was horrible, the change of scenes from the game to the series was not good. The changes to the plot and, especially, the characters’ appearances, personalities and behavior take away what made the original story work. It barely feels like the same characters anymore.
