The over-convoluted plot is a real stretch. Fraser is excellent, as always. Worth a watch, but just above average.

      • Nov 02, 2022

Too many inaccuracies to make it enjoyable.

A little slow, but a good series. Definitely worth watching

I really liked it. Disappointed no more seasons.

If you like murder mysteries from the UK this is the show for you. It keeps you engaged with trying to figure out who the murderer is. On top of that, the scenery in spectacular. Loved it.

        Really enjoyed this show

Decent police procedural set in a small Scottish town on Loch Ness. Good cast, great scenery and engaging story that keeps you watching through all six episode. Yet, like so many British crime dramas, where you may not have the body count of an American serial killer shows, its more than made up for with the usual red herrings and blind alleys. Basically like watching an extended version of "Midsomer Murders" or "The Doctor Blake Mysteries". So, if you're a big fan of such shows, "Loch Ness" is the show for you.

This one of those "police dramas", that follow the current trend. Of including "soap opera" like content into the plots. My suspicion is that, production companies want to lengthen their TV series as much as possible. Since the "crimes", that the police have to solve, are basically run of the mill, and not very complicated. The production companies throw in all kinds of unnecessary subplots. Personally, I don't care if a detective's "cat" has an allergy, or that the prerequisite teenage daughter, is having difficulty learning to drive. I just want the police to determine if there was a crime committed, and if so, apprehend the perpetrator(s). Where are the master mystery writers of today? Where are the Agatha Christies, Dashiell Hammetts, etc. of today? There are hundreds of really good TV and film writers available, that offer fresh, quality material. Why aren't they being hired? This series is okay, though the actress playing the local detective. Constantly has an facial expression, of someone that knows they have to answer a "call of nature", but can't decide which one. You can tell from the overly dramatic music, that something "important" is going to happen. Because that's the only way the production company, can raise the dramatic effect. This not a terrible series, but it certainly could have been better.

Really terrible, most of the actors were bored senseless, lots of mistakes, I was masochistic enough to soldier on to the end ??

      • May 29, 2018

suspenseful, dramatic, good story line, kept my attention throughout the entire series.
