Fantastic acting by Sigourney Weaver. I was not expecting too much from this to be honest. This series really shows how history can repeat itself from generational trauma and how families can get torn apart. All the actors have played their parts truly fabulously and very realistic.

I absolutely loved it. If you’ve gone through abuse be warned it’s a tough watch. I was sobbing throughout but I’m glad I stuck through it. Beautifully made and acted. Must watch for everyone.

Loved it! The subject matter of course being quite rough, this is not easy to watch. But who needs easy anyway? The story is compelling and interesting. I love that the audience know some things in the plot, that all the characters do not. All the actors and actresses suit well in their on-screen personas. I also love the fact that this was an Australian tv mini-series. Made it a bit different. If you have read the book before, don't know how this has translated.

Hard to tell what this story is about for awhile but it still hooks you in. It is a slow burn (pun intended) but hits some really deep points on abuse, trauma, family cycles, breaking these cycles, finding ones voice. It is really hard to watch sometimes but beautiful overall.
