A story much more attractive in its concept than in its execution. [Full Review in Spanish]

It's certainly fascinating to watch The Morning Show consistently jump in the deep end without knowing how to swim - it's just not entertaining to watch it flounder around helplessly scene after scene, a creative misfire of epically-budgeted proportions.

The Morning Show doesn't have the courage of its own convictions, particularly when it comes to the subject of #metoo.

It has no consistency, no singular ambition or particular thing to say.

Glossy and expensive, the series is a giant, faultlessly tasteful gift box filled mostly with packing peanuts.
November 25, 2019
It doesn't have the guts to go all the way.

Sadly, by its finale, The Morning Show is less addictive train wreck than glum clunker, symptomatic of peak TV: it's yet another lacquered, poorly structured ten-episode story, whose sparks are dampened as it becomes more earnest.

Why should audiences heed a message series with nothing to say?

Even though the show's stars carry a lot of the weight, one can't help but think that The Morning Show's lack of subtlety might wind up overpowering even them. [Full Review in Spanish]

Most tiresome are the long-winded monologues presented several times each episode, moments that reek of self-importance in the utter absence of substance.

This is TV about the 1% made by the 1% and produced by the ultimate 1% company, and it's simply less interesting than the true story that it's ripping off.

It's average. It's fine. Which, frankly, just isn't enough when Apple is staking a big chunk of its launch on it.

It's a throwback in all the wrong ways.

The Morning Show does not enable the sort of performances that can serve as such transparent vehicles' silver lining.

It's honestly pretty fun to watch, all glossy and zippy. But it's also fundamentally at war with itself.

After a while I found myself wondering whether everybody involved in this project was simply too rich and powerful to comprehend how hard the average viewer may find it to sympathise.

The show's ideological wobbliness persists through its first three episodes.

Unfortunately, these actors can't save a flawed script. After passing through so many hands, the series never lands many of its complex ideas or messages.

I have to hand it to Aniston and her co-star, Reese Witherspoon, for wangling a show about journalism that is so without true emotion or real meaning that it isn't interesting to me even on some basic or pheromonal level as a journalist myself.

The stakes are low, the writing is clichéd and the overwhelming vibe is one of disappointment and wasted potential. Rachel Green deserved better.
