Critic Reviews for The Order Season 1

All in all, The Order is funny, entertaining, and intriguing. The story moves along at a pretty good clip, and there's always something happening to keep you invested.

Mar 24, 2020 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

The show has its tongue planted firmly in cheek, and its sense of humor is a frequent source of amusement. Between the laughs is a fun, twisty narrative and a game cast to tie it all together.

Mar 21, 2019 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

Supernatural teen drama blends genres well, is entertaining.

Mar 13, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

With engaging characters and with several compelling paths set before its protagonist, this show has legs if it plays its cards right.

Mar 11, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

mostly for Frewer and the chemistry between Manley and Clay. Otherwise, The Order is somewhat cheap-looking with mostly forgettable minor characters.

Mar 7, 2019 | Full Review…

The goofy humor is interwoven into the plot to produce stories that are not just surprisingly funny, but genuinely surprising.

just awesome show must recommend to others.

The actings shit. The plots terrible and the writing is atrocious. The romance was dry and boring. The show really couldn't decide what it wanted to do with it. The character deaths were bland and meaningless. The climax felt forced and so rushed. It had far to many elements going at once. Its like they were trying to tell two stories at once. The werewolf and order plot were unfleshed out. The characters seemed fake and you never gave a fuck about them. The costumes and set designs were nothing. The special effects were just down right bad. The character decisions were dumb and made no sense. There is soo much more i could say but that's enough. Yeah it passed the time but there are so many better shows to help do that. Won't be returning for season 2.

Such a great season, Jack is such an amazing character, he is so funny and very ridiculously smart (ok maybe not the smartest in the show but he is smart) and his that kind of savage bitch, to be completely honest I really wish I had a friend like him.

i cant decide what's worse. the acting or the writing. When they use strong language it is as if you are watching bad kid actors forced to cuss for "humor". Not only that- the sets and design of characters are absolutely nothing short of a a mere college film assignment. It is as if the budget is supplied by someones mom and they only used the money on good camera equipment and pay someone from a different class to do the CGI. Also, these characters seem as if they share 1 braincell due to the lack of common sense used to make a smart decision. God help us if this is the future of fantasy shows.

There were so many plot holes in this thing. Characters also made little sense half the time. Plots came and went with little notice and certain concepts were half formed and badly written. Still, I liked the actors as they made their characters compelling. I also liked the basic concept of the series. I just wish the writers took a bit more time to justify the storylines.

I'm obviously not in the target audience. Still: this season gets approximately a 7.25/10 as just a TV show. Somewhat "inconsistent" in terms of content. Very good plot and arc, very interesting world-building, surprisingly kept my interest (surprising for the subject matter, which I usually have no interest in (magic, teen/girls drama)). In terms of how entertaining it was, about an 9/10. Will very likely revisit, which is also very unusual for me. Very successful in these respects.

The Orders first season is pretty bland. It starts out with a good solid premise but quickly runs of the track and crashes. The characters are idiots and super uninteresting. And the plot just goes everywhere but nowhere interesting. The romance is not good, it's not horrible but I didn't really care for it. The magic system is actually pretty cool but I didn't like the world building regarding the actual Order. The werewolf thing really came out of nowhere and I didn't not enjoy it, I kinda wish it wasn't a part of the show but whatever. The last 3 episodes were really good but everything else was bland and messy.

I feel like I'm wasted my entire time waiting for this to develop into something. It feels like the plot was written by a couple of teenage girls. All of the actors have something to be desired. Kinda felt like I was watching a high school play. I sure as hell hope the second season is worth it.

This is a good show, mixes humor with horror. Kinda like Sabrina went to college and met some werewolves. Season 1 is decent, but season 2 it starts to ramp up the story. It also starts moving away from a "teen" show into more of an adult show.

Very happy to find this TV series on Netflix! Would have watched it along time ago if I don't know how good it was. I highly recommend
