Critic Reviews for The Order Season 1

All in all, The Order is funny, entertaining, and intriguing. The story moves along at a pretty good clip, and there's always something happening to keep you invested.

Mar 24, 2020 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

The show has its tongue planted firmly in cheek, and its sense of humor is a frequent source of amusement. Between the laughs is a fun, twisty narrative and a game cast to tie it all together.

Mar 21, 2019 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

Supernatural teen drama blends genres well, is entertaining.

Mar 13, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

With engaging characters and with several compelling paths set before its protagonist, this show has legs if it plays its cards right.

Mar 11, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

mostly for Frewer and the chemistry between Manley and Clay. Otherwise, The Order is somewhat cheap-looking with mostly forgettable minor characters.

Mar 7, 2019 | Full Review…

The goofy humor is interwoven into the plot to produce stories that are not just surprisingly funny, but genuinely surprising.

season 1 is fun. It's like American Harry Potter meets Sabrina goes to college. Worth watching.

Very fun story and I was glad to see that there was a second season.
  • Jun 25, 2020
The show is funny as It tries hard to be an entertaining teen drama comedy with magic & supernatural beings. Some of the actors are just one dimensional. Anyway, it's free to watch on Netflix, so will give season 2 a go as well

Absolute garbage. Acting was average, introduction to the story line and characters was abysmal, attempts to stay relevant to youths were thoroughly cringey. Plot was ok at best, and the last three episodes were truly awful. Wipe everyone's memory to offer the laziest out possible for writers... might as well have said it was all a dream oooo spoooooky

Really enjoyable show, full with suspense never boring and all in all really fun to watch . I recommend it!
  • Jun 23, 2020
It was some of the most fresh material on Netflix I've seen in a while.
  • Jun 22, 2020
The writing and story at the beginning are cringeworthy, but something about the characters kept me around. It's not overly stressful and has moments of fun. The second half of the season is a big improvement if you can forgive a couple extremely trite and predictable moments.
