Critic Reviews for The Order Season 1

All Critics (5) | Top Critics (0)

The show has its tongue planted firmly in cheek, and its sense of humor is a frequent source of amusement. Between the laughs is a fun, twisty narrative and a game cast to tie it all together.

Supernatural teen drama blends genres well, is entertaining.

Mar 13, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

With engaging characters and with several compelling paths set before its protagonist, this show has legs if it plays its cards right.

mostly for Frewer and the chemistry between Manley and Clay. Otherwise, The Order is somewhat cheap-looking with mostly forgettable minor characters.

The goofy humor is interwoven into the plot to produce stories that are not just surprisingly funny, but genuinely surprising.

Apart from cheesy conversation between characters the concept & plot makes this engaging, though end episode will make you watch 2nd season, however i really have no idea how did i end up watching binged. interesting isn't it ..

loved the season but why did it have to end like it did

A great show that will ensure that I keep Netflix so I can see season 2!

The plot is good, but one thing that turned off. The soundtrack. It totally kills your escapism. The dialogue is another point, they needed someone to rewrite the dialogue to dust off a little bit of the cheesyness. Great premise. But maybe the writer and directors are friends with those critics. The game is WAAAY better.

I'm ambivalent about this show. The premise was engaging enough to keep me watching, but the dialogue is frequently cheesy, sometimes even painfully stupid, and some of the actors are a little too hammy. The lead actor is absolutely terrible. I like the lead actress though. The series would be a lot better if the show were about her.

Excellent show! Absolutely zero plot holes!
  • May 28, 2019
this show to me was decent most of the way through with some parts I quite liked, however the ending of the first season makes it fall flat imo, as I find it stupid to make a bunch of werewolves think that they are regular people, as I could on see that ending in disaster as more than likely people would end up dying as a result.

A good TV show with a good plot. Loved it.
  • May 11, 2019
Starts off as college student joins secret society, rapidly develops into lots of werewolves and sorcery. Light humour. Great binge watching material.
  • May 10, 2019
Loved every minute of this show except the ending. Can't wait for more.
