Former "Saturday Night Live" head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider are the creative forces behind "The Other Two," a scripted series centered around two siblings desperately seeking their lot in life. Aspiring actor Cary is struggling to land better auditions than "Man at Party Who Smells Fart," while his sister Brooke is simply struggling in general. As they work toward self-improvement, their lives are turned upside-down when their teenage brother Chase becomes an internet sensation overnight.

Critics Consensus

The elder Dubek siblings may still feel like they're also-rans, but The Other Two remains cream of the crop in a third season that turns foiled dreams into delightful comedy.

The show’s final season was the biggest and smartest of all, capturing the demented ambition, streaming fatigue, and fickle politics that define contemporary Hollywood. Go to Full Review

If you prefer celebrity over monarchy, there is no show that captures the emptiness and hilarity in the joy and the struggle of being/wanting to be famous like HBO’s The Other Two. Go to Full Review

When season three wasn’t dishing out the most screamingly funny jokes of the show’s run, it was serving up some of its most wrenching drama. Go to Full Review

A joke-every-second trip across the road to fame that corrupts and hollows you out. No other show on TV portrays the emptiness of Hollywood and virtue signalling of celebrities better. Alas, portrayed, since it’s now over. Go to Full Review

The Other Two emerges — like many did after lockdown, frankly — wilder, woolier, and weirder than before. It's an evolution that requires some adjustment from the viewer, but opens the show up to creative risks that really pay off. Go to Full Review

Television’s sharpest and funniest Hollywood satire somehow found another gear to shift into in its third season. Go to Full Review

michael c Apr 29 One of the best shows that once again gets canceled. F hbo. See more Aye E 08/03/2023 I know the main characters are not supposed to be likeable or relateable, but it's so exhausting to watch them predictably mess everything up every episode it's just not funny most of the time. I wish the side characters were more of the focus, they are so much more enjoyable to watch. See more Andrei D 07/12/2023 Pe la mijloc are niste episode care rup See more taj n 06/30/2023 I absolutely loved the first two seasons, but the third season belonged to a different show. It turned from a comedy to an absurdist drama. You can only push a character's unlikability so far -- and Brooke and Cary became unwatchable. See more Victor G 06/29/2023 Best season so far! The episode with the whole Teleton situation was hilarious! See more Joseph M @josephispurring 06/26/2023 I really enjoyed the first two seasons but this one the characters are stuck in the same ridiculous storylines of being miserable people without any sign of development. Occasional funny moments among tons of cringe. See more Read all reviews
