Loved the actors, but didnt like a lot things: - he said that he chose him because he was a Jewish psychologist.. why? We never get an answer. - didnt like the Holocaust connection, it doesn't seem right and its a very sensitive subject to a lot of us, and to be frank wasn't so much on point with the show. - why did he pee so much? - the therapist could have escaped soo many times!!! Come on man! - and how about when he knew that he is going to kill him? Write a note with his name and put in your underwear! It had so much potential...

A fascinating and well crafted show. Frustrating and heartbreaking, but satisfying in some small ways. Both actors give flawless and captivating performances. While I didn't feel a sense of relief with the story's end, it's one that will stay with me. So many shows lately try to do something different and surprising, and are ultimately forgettable. This is not one of those for me. This one stands out among the crowd.

pretty good, not bad, can't complain

A fasinating premise for a show that is severely letdown by it's pacing and really cheap looking production values. Gleeson is poorly cast as the villian and the less said about his wig the better. Disappointing.

If I could give this show zero stars I would. The beginning was great. As the show went on, it began to drag and seemed to have no purpose. The holocaust scenes were very pointless and unnecessary. It had no relation to the show whatsoever and could be considered offensive to viewers. The reason I give this show zeros stars is because the ending was terrible. The writers were lazy and put zero effort into the ending. Biggest waste of time.

I agree with Aristotle. I wouldn't categorize this as a thriller. Getting to know the backstories, especially that of the doctor's, kept me interested. It did drag a bit at times, and some scenes seemed irrelevant, but nothing that would keep me from wanting to see it through. I thought both Steve Carell and Domhnall Gleeson gave stellar performances. I wouldn't call the ending predictable, but rather inevitable. Although I was a bit taken off guard by the final scene. Not 5 stars, but definitely worth your time.

Steve carrell has the widest acting range and it truly shines through in this short series. there was one single setting, and yet I was intrigued the entire time! definitely worth the watch.

Absolutely loved the concept, acting, art direction, music and more. Great, dark, devious entertaining show. It drags at times and the Holocaust flashbacks aren't necessary, they say more about the writer's identification with Judaism than anything relevant to the characters, but it's all fine in the end. Really well done and just smart storytelling from the creations of the Americans. It's like a twisted amuse bouche of a show.

Great acting. I had a too vicarious experience with the therapist without satisfactory closure. The setup and setting were improbable.
      • Feb 18, 2023
This show had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning I had to binge-watch the whole thing all the way up until I was balling my eyes out. If my boys Carell and Gleeson don't get nominated for any awards it would be an absolute robbery. Five outta Five so good.
