The animation style holds up, if not supersedes, recent efforts... The byplay between the GB's finds a solid balance and maintains a loyal connection to the characters established in the films.

What made The Real Ghostbusters such a successful animated adaptation? Not to belittle anyone else involved in the series, since it was a very talented crew across the board, but it really comes down to one man: J. Michael Straczynski.

Bloody good fun as well as providing young kids with an insight into what is now classic geeklore.

It's merely OK, and definitely dated. But for true Ghostbuster devotees, it can be fun to see how the show expands on (and in some ways, rewrites) the mythology of the original movies

J. Michael Straczynski was on fire when he wrote "Citizen Ghost." Not literally, I hope. Figuratively speaking, though, I can picture him looking like the the Human Torch while sitting at his keyboard.

It's animation isn't great but the stories are a blast.

Often corny, looking back at it now. However, a lot of episodes are classics. While the show feels way more like Ghostbusters than the 2016 movie.
