It's one of the best shows ever broadcast on the network, despite - or perhaps because - it's also a fantastically disturbing one.

Anyone disconcerted by the poo gags should think of Ren and Stimpy as an animated Waiting For Godot.

Anyone who doesn't get a tear in their eye when Stimpy licks his own hide clean in a scheme to earn money for his best pal Ren's pectoral implants is someone with whom I don't ever want to share a good cry.

The Ren and Stimpy Show, created by John Kricfalusi, may be the most original thing to happen to children's television since Pee-wee's Playhouse.

This show is amazing! Sure, it's gross, but, hey, so is life. Get over it. It's really silly, and full of life. Unlike most people now a days.
