Conrad Hawkins is one of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital's best doctors. Charming and arrogant, Conrad likes to take an unconventional approach whenever possible and believes it's his personal duty to shatter the romantic illusions of the first-year residents. Dr. Devon Pravesh is an innocent idealist who leans on his finely tuned moral compass, but with Conrad's help, he begins to realize that the practice of medicine is a business, like any other, with less-than-angelic patients and fallible doctors.

The Resident got off to a bit of a shaky start, with a lot of clunky exposition and the drama turned up to 11. But three seasons in and it's found a nice rhythm.

This is the best medical drama ever! All the characters have soul and touch my heart. I can't have enough of Conrad, Nic, AJ, Devon, Mina, Irving, Kit, Randolph, Cain... I can't stop watching it!

It started out interesting, good characters. By season 3 it’s like so many tv series trying to up the drama factor -I’ve stayed in hospitals and I don’t know a single one where people have rooms so surrounded by people needing code blues constantly, just ridiculous. Some of the personal character/relation developments diminishes-the blond nurse-how can a person go through life being always appropriate but so little expression feeling was unbelievable. So while -eh-ok by season 3, there’s a lot better, more meaningful entertainment out there. I suppose I do need a show to have some realism in it.

A good season of the show. They had decent acting, good story arcs, and alll the characters are likeable, even the ones who care cast as the villains of the show. This is an easy show to watch and be entertained with.
