Conrad Hawkins is one of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital's best doctors. Charming and arrogant, Conrad likes to take an unconventional approach whenever possible and believes it's his personal duty to shatter the romantic illusions of the first-year residents. Dr. Devon Pravesh is an innocent idealist who leans on his finely tuned moral compass, but with Conrad's help, he begins to realize that the practice of medicine is a business, like any other, with less-than-angelic patients and fallible doctors.

Nuria J Jul 23 This is the best medical drama ever! All the characters have soul and touch my heart. I can't have enough of Conrad, Billie, AJ, Devon,Irving, Kit, Randolph, Leela, Cate... I can't stop watching it! See more Carson F Mar 12 I was enjoying aspects of the show, enough to watch until season 6, and as a nurse I was relating and enjoying some of the medical/life drama. However, Voss made a horrible comment about vegans that was so offensive I couldn't watch further, saying she bought pizza for all staff except for vegans, because she couldn't allow vegan cheese. I'm also a vegan, and find jokes that are only funny to those who are discriminatory and cruel to vegans to not really be jokes. Who knows if the producers are paid by dairy to say these lines, as they do have the same marketers that tobacco had and do try to dis on vegans in a variety of cultural ways, to detract from the harm and subsidies they are granted, or if they are truly cowardly vegan-phobes, but either way I just stopped watching immediately. See more Chris C 10/28/2024 I was very disappointed with season 5 and vowed not to waste any more time on this series but when reading these reviews I thought I'd watch a few episodes of S06. While trying to keep an open mind, I am surprised at the lack of originality and shallow characters and script. The gravitas, drama and depth of personalities of the first 3-4 seasons is completely missing - and it just does not hold my attention anymore. It takes great skill and a few seasons to develop characters that people buy into - and enjoy. When these are scripted out for new characters, it does set a series back and into something completely new. There are too many really good hospital procedurals around to spend any more time on this soap. So sorry. See more Read all reviews
