This sure-footed, compelling show could well have you on the ridge of your seat. Go to Full Review

With the wrong casting, this could quickly descend into hokum. But Lyle makes it believable, imbuing Mia with such anxiety and paranoia that the frantic drama around her seems less exaggerated. Go to Full Review

The Ridge rattles along at a good lick, keeping its secrets close for now. The New Zealand setting is spectacular, with MacKinnon’s direction lending it a strange, unsettling air. Go to Full Review

Mario W @Mario10i Dec 24 Very slow, and having her sister’s body on display in an open coffin in a house for what seemed days isn’t credible or hygienic. See more Slick R @SlickReviewer Nov 30 Like the others wrote, countless and unnecessary zoom-ins and outs in every single scene. I'm not sure why they tried this style of camera work. But it's the worst kind. I didn't even get to the second episode it's so annoying. See more Derek J @RT06023757 Nov 7 First episode is a bit slow but once it gets going it's a must watch. See more Nicholas R @RT87950424 Nov 5 This series was filmed by people who think making the viewer believe they are bobbing on a turbulent ocean is a good time for almost 6 hours. Pointless zoom-ins and outs, when nothing is even happening, shows the most basic understanding of filming. And that's the least offensive thing about the show. At least when you're finally vomiting from the inevitable nausea the camera work gives you, you won't be able to hear the dialogue. I watch a great deal of mysteries on BBC, and usually they're passable. But this has got to be one of the worst shows of 2025. Terrible acting, awful dialogue, and shot by someone who clearly has never used a camera before, it would pass the 'first movie from this school's drama department, JUST, if you paid. We all get what they were trying to do with a character who is broken. But making her less likable than the actual villain, was not a good call. The fact that in every shot, the lead character uses every single facial expression a human is capable of using, and that's just saying 'hello', shows an abysmal level of understanding by the director. I'd honestly be embarrassed to be part of this cliched show. See more Peter C @PeterFC Nov 2 Dreadful camera work, annoying editing and an extremely unengaging lead character. Two episodes were enough to convince me to ditch this unfocused stinker. See more Read all reviews
