The accounts of the origins, complications, and endings of the two World Wars are reasonably engrossing.

Much of the story may be familiar, though odds are that new discoveries, humorous and dramatic, await all but the most dedicated Roosevelt scholar. documentary. The Roosevelts deserve no less.

The Roosevelts doesn't whitewash its subjects or make excuses for their missteps. It does admire them greatly, for their courage and vision.
