[Sarah] Silverman's world is a delirious and addled inversion of Larry David's... Either you get this or you don't, but they're not getting on their knees to beg for your approval.

I enjoy... Sarah Silverman for the surreal, go-for-broke-ness of it.

Naturally, [Sarah] Silverman is sweetness personified in this ersatz sitcom format. It's impossible to think of another comic actress who could pull off this type of material without raising hackles. Her portrayal is that of a truly blithe spirit.

After such a long time off, the show needed to return with a really strong episode to remind viewers of how funny it can be. Instead, this just felt like a lot of familiar jokes.

The Sarah Silverman Program is almost oppressively adorable, a tune-filled romp through the depths of misanthropy and tasteless humor.

Despite her best efforts (self-deprecating jokes about facial hair; unflattering cargo pants), Silverman is adorable. If anyone can get away with hermaphrodite humor, it's her.

[Sarah] Silverman never made a major impression on me as a stand-up comedian, but I loved how her show looked for ways to subvert every convention we've come to expect from sitcoms.

Sep 17, 2019 | Full Review…

The Sarah Silverman Program isn't for everyone, but then again neither is the real Silverman, but she's the best at what she brings to the table. It's crude, vulgar, immature, stupid ... and yet surprisingly smart.

Sep 17, 2019 | Full Review…

The Sarah Silverman Program was one of the most eccentrically hilarious sitcoms to ever grace the airwaves.

May 14, 2018 | Full Review…

The show rolls out stand alone episodes, exposing the mainstream comedy viewing audience to all the vile, and repugnant things that made up the Silverman's on stage persona.

Jun 19, 2012 | Rating: 7/10 | Full Review…

Bluntly, I just wish The Sarah Silverman Program was funnier.
