I absolutely loved this show. After a bit of a slow start and it really picked up into an epic period piece. Set in a very interesting time and place that's not often shown on screen - South Texas in the early 20th century. Loved how the politics between the Comanche, Hispanics and Americans were told. Thought Pierce Brosnan was excellent - he's aged well!

Critics hate it, so it MUST be good. And yes... It was FANTASTIC!

Excellent series. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Old school Western tale, family history and American history. Doesn't pull any punches. We are all wild savages when it's all said and done, some worse than others for sure, but still all savages. That's the moral of the story.

The Best Western Tv Show you are ever going to see. If you like slow paced but build up storylines then this show is for you.

What do you want to see? An old school, John Wayne - style western movie series? Then perhaps watch a John Wayne western instead of this. During an interview, one of the actors expressed this as "good entertainment". I would suggest that you watch the leading man, Eli McCullough. Who does this man grow up with? who does he spend his young adulthood with? Does he resort to violence and if so, when does he? Is he married and towards whom does he have romantic interests? Does he tell the full truth when speaking with representatives of the government, such as the police? Does he attend church and what is his relationship with Christianity? Is morality important and does this TV series provide good examples of strength, morally? In what way is this good entertainment then?

Loved the series. Great acting, authentic scenery, and very gritty. I felt like I was there. I would highly recommend watching both seasons.

Bit of the old same TV show but definitely enjoyable

If the audience member has read historical non-fiction about the Comanches and Apaches taking young captives then the whole series, based on the main character, Eli, would make sense and the evolution of Eli would make sense, and is astoundingly reflective of those days past. I love this epic series.
