ALL- C @RT35432431 May 28 This love triangle is kept alive for far longer than I think is realistically acceptable, even when accounting for the creative liberties normally granted to coming-of-age franchises. The blatant character assassination of Jeremiah is something which isn't so easy to stomach and whilst the tension across the whole season is built up quite well, it seems to be relieved all too easily. Furthermore, the time skips post-wedding are not really made abundantly clear and the omission of this context for certain scenes really harms their effectiveness and plausibility. The slow but tenacious re-growth of Belly and Conrad's relationship is interesting but you can't help but cringe at certain scenes, especially the peach scene. I think the creatives behind this show could've thought of more interesting and convincing ways for Conrad to fall back in love with Belly. I think the end of this season is arguably its strong suit. Season 3 was definitely the best season, but all 3 books combined are better than any season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. I do recommend this show, but instead of watching it, just read the books. See more Grace O @RT28398095 Mar 25 This season has captured the hearts of my fellow girlies everywhere. Unfortunately I can’t say the same. The blatant, extremely conspicuous character assassination has left me wanting, and don’t get me started on the unlike-ability of the main character. As a former team Conrad girly, I now find myself anti-the whole show. A writers ought to afford their characters, a more honourable (or at least less obvious) deaths. It was very clear that a character was being pushed out of the way at all costs. I am truly glad to be done with this show. This TV series is so good, so good, so good, so good! It's a TEEN drama between three people. BTW I'm team C. And then the ending is really great!
