Not A Must Watch
Its like two sides of a coin: there are two sides to every story and you work out what story is the right one. At the same time, some of the characters are a bit one dimensional. Go to Full Review

With a certain amount of knowing, much exuberant flair and the usual undercurrent of vulnerability, Sheridan Smith plays Jenna, a hard-drinking, hard-smoking, hard-living, rather debauched secondary school teacher. Go to Full Review

A premise that grabs you, a watchable star turn, and a plot so simple that your dog could follow it. Go to Full Review

Sheridan Smith was terrific as always, and The Teacher did exactly what it said on the tin. Go to Full Review

Smith powered on through the increasingly far-fetched tale, taking the audience with her, right up to the ambiguous ending. What would television drama do without her? Go to Full Review

DB N @RT27111913 10h Gets worse by the season. Season 3 is dreadful! See more mike m @mmx554 01/02/2023 I thought this was an extremely good series, with an interesting plot, unexpected twists and turns, and professionally delivered by all involved. See more 03/21/2022 This started well, with a main character that makes you want to throw things at the screen. She does dumb things, but it is possible to understand why. However, it doesn't really stretch to four episodes, and the "who-dun-it" nature is undermined by the introduction of the villain so late in the piece. The ending is... odd. It almost feels like the writers ran out of interest and handed off to some juniors to finish up. If it had been tightened up, and turned into three, or better yet, two episodes, it feels like it would have been quite good. See more Read all reviews
