Critics Consensus

Dan Stevens and a game supporting cast deliver well-rounded performances with nuance and verve in this latest installment of The Terror, which humanely depicts its subject's troubles with mental health and supernatural frights.

In projects like this, there can be a fine line between committed performance and psych hospital schtick. The cast of “Devil in Silver” walks that line without tripping over it. Go to Full Review

The first two installments got under your skin; the third may leave a few scars, but it never goes any further beneath the surface. Go to Full Review

Over six smart, gnarly episodes, the well-captured characters and their supernatural plights prove almost as gripping -- and frightening -- as the reality they’re laying bare. Go to Full Review

It’s a noticeable departure from prior seasons, turning the page to a type of institutional horror unlike anything depicted before and propped upon a cast in complete command of the screenplay. Go to Full Review

The Terror: Devil in Silver would still be a fairly compelling horror story even if the supernatural never entered into the picture — and that may well be the most frightening thing of all. Go to Full Review

Phil C @PhilCere031 5d The Wife and I are a bit late to the party, but it was our pleasure to check out The Terror Season 3 (Devil in Silver)… I’ve been hooked on these seasons since the first incredible season where the doomed Franklin Expedition was given a fictional explanation.. That very real historical account hardly needed any more horror to the reality for those poor souls stuck out there on the ice while trying to find the Northern Passage, but this series pulled it off!! (I highly recommend the fictional book this series is based on) The second season shed light on the grim history of the Japanese internment camps.. Adding a similar entity to the well known Grudge film series into the mix!! In comes the third season, which already is set into a grim setting where poor souls with mental illness are left behind, with a predator that has been feeding for years on them… I don’t want to spill the beans too much, but we definitely recommend this for a watch!! 👍❤️ See more Susanna C @RT567909877431 Jul 25 It’s not as good as season one but it’s very good horror TV. We really don’t get a lot of shows like this that stick their landing, and this one is so far. Very good show, not great, but very good. See more Douh J @RT36560257 Jul 6 To be honest. I am not sure how this show got a high rating on rotten tomatoes. I'll point out the pros and cons from someone who is not an influencer or career critic. 1. The story plot is good. It'll suck you in. 2. High profile actors but the acting is absolutely terrible. Not sure how that happens? But whatever i guess. 3. The story is good. 4. The acting is atrocious. See more Amie A @AmAy666 Jun 22 Which seemed solid, but I think I didn't want to spend any more time slow-burning in a dreary hospital. The 19th century Arctic was just so much more interesting to watch. See more Raul A. @thatsRaul Jun 20 Terror is an understatement. Where is it? See more Priscilla M @Prissi Jun 16 This is really good so far. Recommend. See more Read all reviews
