Lengthy and meticulous trials lend themselves to this sort of slow-burning drama, as evidence is slowly teased out and action frozen in time. Go to Full Review

It's a grimly convoluted but gripping tale, with a distinct emphasis on the manipulation of women by toxic male figures. Go to Full Review

The Twelve passed my ultimate streaming test: More than 15 minutes passed before I checked the time. If I get completely absorbed in a drama for more than 10 minutes, that's a very good sign. Go to Full Review

"It's not subtle and it's not memorable, but it will keep you guessing till the very end - and sometimes that's enough." Go to Full Review

David B @RT40174996 09/15/2024 What a waste of ten hours of my life including hours of ads too on ITVX See more Dante B @RT21254366 09/06/2022 As a lawyer myself, this whole show was painful to watch. All of the procedural mistakes and fallacies in the trial were disgusting. The defense and prosecution badgered witnesses, testified on their behalf, among other ludicrous scenes. The judge herself had no control of the trial, making the whole process vicious and dirty. They could've done much better. On a side note the whole back end story was cheap and poorly elaborated. See more 07/10/2022 More of the same preachy, minority nonsense plastered over every single scene and character. Utterly unwatchable. If I wanted a lecture, I'd go to Church. See more 01/14/2021 I found myself getting more involved with The Twelve as the episodes progressed and whatever the outcome it was the journey to the verdict that kept me engaged. The personal lives of the jury members play an important part, as well as the actions of the main protagonists, but who is innocent and objective and who is actually telling the truth? Gradually, various aspects of the story are revealed and the jury makes its decision. Tense, deliberate and thought provoking. See more Read all reviews
