This show contains a well blended mix of heart, humor and action that can make you cry one minute and smile the next. Great acting and group chemistry from the entire ensemble cast really makes the whole thing. There are no duds here, everyone did an excellent job. The plot does wander some in the middle and we get far more "bad guys talking about their plans" scenes then are necessary, but the rest of the show is so compelling that I am willing to overlook those failings. When the show focuses on the main cast, it shines. Byeong-gyu Jo is fantastic in this, embodying the cinnamon-roll-who-gets-superpowers protagonist with the kind of honest charm, vulnerable strength and hidden depths necessary to make that kind of character feel fleshed out and grounded. Se-jeong Kim is equally good and possibly my favorite female lead ever in a kdrama, bringing her tough-girl role to life with relatable dimensionality that really made her character arc stand out. The show's nuanced handling of several of its more interesting villains, and it's choice to redeem at least one of them was also very well done. I'm glad this got a second season (rare for kdramas) and am looking forward to it with anticipation.

The lead is a very admirable character! A high school kid who has such a huge responsibility when other kids around his age are just playing around. Others may see him as whiny but I think they are forgetting that So Mun is just a teenager with traumatic childhood. He's a genuine person, loves and protects the people he loves the most. What makes him admirable is that he knows how to step up and continues to pour in efforts to better himself each day (which isn't really common for people these days), and so he can also protect the people around him more. Besides the great plot, although it can get stressful in some episodes, So Mun actually made me stick until the last episode as I was rooting for him.

I LOVE THIS K-DRAMA! I've been a k-drama fan for a couple of years now and when I tell you I've been so obsessed with it! This k-drama focuses on a guy named Su Mun and his noodle shop team. The matter of times I cried thru watching this k-drama is unbelievable! No, the tears weren't of joy sometimes this show really had so many plot twists and many wonders. I won't lie, sometimes I would get so scared and surprised for them. In the end, I ended up loving it so much it became my favorite. Please watch this, I recommend it if you like fantasy. I assure you this k-drama will forever change your list of top favorite k-drama. It's sure to be in your top 5.

Loved it! The story was original (if at times a bit quirky) and the acting was great. It kept me interested and engaged through the 60 minute runtime of each episode and I was emotionally invested in the characters. The Uncanny Counter, with its impeccable balance of action, gore, comedy, and drama, is undoubtedly one of the best Netflix Original Series I have ever watched and I highly recommend it.

Watching this show as an American takes some patience. Korean Netflix shows take a lot of patience because they are not as direct and decisive and pefect as American productions. But that is something you grow to appreciate. I really have enjoyed this show - all the BEST to the production crew and actors. This show is not perfect. It is imperfect in so many ways - and that is why you grow to love it. You get to know the characters and their lives. This show is highly recommended. It is a slow...slow...burn... enjoy the heck out of it.

It has good emotions and story plot is decent enough. The series just feels like something that shall happen in real life in Korea(may be?) and gives a different depth of their political system as well.
