This season of Netflix’s fantasy series follows Geralt of Rivia, now played by Liam Hemsworth, as he sets out to reunite with Ciri and Yennefer amid a continent torn apart by war, political schemes, and increasingly dangerous enemies. Evidently, the show has lost its focus, and its quality continues to decline, leaving it a mere shadow of its former self. The story is no longer as compelling as it once was, the characters feel disconnected, and every plotline seems to lead nowhere. Ciri’s journey is especially frustrating and pointless. The only real highlight is the midseason battle against Vilgefortz, but the anticlimactic finale is both terrible and frustratingly incomplete. At least the Rats are finally out of the picture! Hemsworth does his best to fill Geralt’s boots, but Henry Cavill’s absence is impossible to ignore. There is still enough here to entertain fantasy fans, but the magic is clearly fading. The Witcher looks like a secondary character in that season. I’m a huge fan of the video games, and they are better written than the serie. I’m sure the fans could write better than the actual directors, you should be ashamed. There is so many stories to make, so many monster, so many fight, the depth you can go in. The serie turn around Vilgefortz & the rats, while you could have about The Wild hunt, Ciri, yennefer, Geralt, go deeper. It seems series nowadays become dumber and dumber. Los primeros 2 capítulos me parecieron incluso tediosos. Mu percepción es que algunas de las acciones de los personajes y actitudes no son coherentes con sus personalidades a lo largo de las Temporadas pasadas. Sin embargo, con el paso de los episodios la serie se compone, no es tan mala como lo pintan, y es una pena que reciba una funa masiva solo por el cambio de autor, aunque sé que es difícil acostumbrarse al cambio. I'm sorry, I just can't support a studio that thinks they know better than critically acclaimed and beloved books and video games! It's massively disappointing to see a company have such a great first season of a show, something that after my 2.5 year relationship broke up in March of 2020 and all I wanted to do when I got home was watch A) The Mandalorian and B) The Witcher. So yeah, anyway don't watch the show, play the game, the Remastered for the third game is in 15 days and you can actually date Yennefer in the game, and Triss, so I'd say support that, not the show.
