After two seasons, we knew full well that This Is Us loved to shake-weight our hearts, but that didn't make the impact of last night's Season 3 premiere any less intense.

The way this series portrays human frailty and imperfection, especially as its male characters express those traits, makes it unique among TV dramas.

I'm sticking with This is Us - fandom, like family, is built on forgiveness, after all. My only hope is that the writers will take the upcoming winter break to remember something Kevin said in season 1: "Life is full of color." And not all of it is gray.

"Vietnam", is significant on two fronts: It establishes Jack's relationship with his little brother Nicky, who's also serving in the war, and opens a new storyline that will play out for the rest of the season.

On the one hand, the series has finally defaulted to delivering melodramatic twists - spoilers to follow - but on the other, it avoids jumping the shark by grounding each reveal in the characters' deeply personal journeys.

The [show's] subtle handling of emotions... manages to continue to remove the five central characters' layers to uncover their pain. And, every so often, their triumphs. [Full review in Spanish]

This Is Us finds a way to tell schematic stories in a way that underlines how easy it can be to get sucked beneath the water by history's never-ending undertow.

I gave it up. I just got so tired of going forward, going back, going further back and flying forward. Nothing ever seemed to be resolved. I just stopped caring and wanted them to all go away.

I just cannot stand people who insist on having children dispite the high risk to themselves and to the potential child. The pain and suffering is NOT moving. It's well-deserved.

I think this season was a turning point for the TV-show! If you thought it couldn't get any better than season 1 and 2.. well, you were wrong! The writers and the actors are just amazing and make you feel part of the Pearson's family. If you want to know more about these incredible characters, this season won't let you down!

I love this show. I love Beth and Randall. I think this is a great show to watch and enjoy. Emotional but wonderful. Happy tears! Simple.

Still moving with unexpected twists. Becoming more PC and sometimes this hurts story line. Pretty much every character has some sort of serious issue, including ptsd, alcoholism, obesity, clinical depression etc. it's a little too saccharine sometimes, but still has great acting and good storylines. Spoiler Saw the final episode and they had to go pc and political with a Ginsburg doll because boys need strong female figures. Kind of ironic. Anyway, there is no chance their girl would have gotten a Scalia doll. Please leave the politics out

How they still manage to show more and more raw emotional sides of all the central character. It's some next level of story writing
  • May 28, 2019
Their some great episodes but the season are less than what i expected and also making more three seasons not a good idea I think storyline not handling more than four seasons

    Absolutely exceptional!! That is all!!

I love the show but I honestly cant Zoes character and now Beths too...I think Zoe needs to go bye bye and give kevin a girl that doesnt have poor me story and always seems so sad and selfish, she just seems unattached from any real commitment. And as far as beth goes who was a strong and supportive wife, now she is prioritizing having drinks for her dance class over randals political position? She is getting way to selfish, bitchy, and honestly annoying, kind of like Kate and the self loathing bit I really like kate this season. I think shes going to be an awesome mama!
