What to Know

Critics Consensus

Tires gets some chuckles by kicking around Shane Gillis' self-aware persona, but this unambitious sitcom will need to rev up the inspiration to get real traction.

Anemic... Gillis financed the show, which means that it looks cheap and encapsulates his trademark “it’s just a joke” approach to bro comedy. Go to Full Review
Angie Han The Hollywood Reporter May 24, 2024
If you don’t find Gerben and Gillis’ juvenile, slightly retrograde brand of bro humor to be funny, that’s a recipe for tedium. If you do... that might be enough to pass a couple of hours Go to Full Review

I wouldn’t argue strongly with anyone who finds it irredeemably dumb, but I would also be lying if I didn’t admit to laughing at the fine line that Gillis and company walk here. Go to Full Review

The truth is, a lot of the episodes blend together, and you're going to find yourself remembering individual jokes a lot more than you remember overall plots. Go to Full Review

I just wish Tires didn’t have to be so crass. Casually tossing an f-slur in the series premiere makes a strong statement, and not a welcoming one; consistently calling the Andiamo Brothers “wops” feels more antiquated than offensive. Go to Full Review

It’s not just hack work; it’s cowardly. It is gutless. Go to Full Review

Binh Q @RT12805691 6 days ago This show is so funny and has such a good spirit. Critics are woke, overeducated elitist, threatened by any straight or blue collar mentality. See more Joey C @RT82886970 Sep 5, 2026 Tassid racism and misogyny aside, the jokes land... though feel... dated? It's not clever, and as powerful as a cheap jumpscare. Gillis is a funny guy, and has shown to understand the dynamics of a joke, and what makes things funny. You almost want to sit him down, and remind him that he's not Andrew Shultz or Joe Derosa. He doesn't need to hurl slurs and pop the bros with dumb jabs at women. He's better than that, and so is the show. It might have landed a few passing chuckles out of me. In the end, I just felt a bit dumber watching it. See more L. F @RT68678650 Sep 4, 2026 Humour is subjective - this one doesn't do it for me, sadly. I expected it to be an easy watch, so nothing groundbreaking, but it's just not original or funny enough to give a fresh take on the workplace comedy genre. The slurs and sexually aggressive language wrapped up as "bro banter" is pretty one note and left me wanting a lot more. All of the characters need fleshing out in order to be interesting. As a concept it has potential, but it's not there just yet. Feels like it could wear thin pretty quickly. See more Emmanuel T @CoroNado Aug 26, 2026 Wow shane gillis came out swinging with this one and if you are a fan of stand up comedy holy crap-ola this is the equivalent of a star studded cast with the comics in this its non stop laughs and cringe love it See more Hayden T @RT84200025 Aug 23, 2026 A really great start to the show so far See more Roberto G @RobertoGatti72 Aug 22, 2026 "He is dead, he was kicking him.... they were lovers." The critics' brain fried at that point. Hahahahahaha. See more Read all reviews
