The script is often full of cliched dialogue. “Grief is a terrible reminder of the depth of our love,” one character tells Lana. What saves the series are the strong performances. Go to Full Review

If you’re after total adrenaline and something that asks you not to think too hard, this is the ticket. Go to Full Review

A new and bonkers British police drama. It’s bonkers because it’s all wailing sirens, explosions and terse dialogue spat out by stock characters. Go to Full Review

Trigger Point has lots of tension, and a fair amount of action. What it doesn’t really have is much character development or an intriguing central plot. But you try to look away as Lana tries to defuse bomb after bomb after bomb. Go to Full Review

Besides this dependable and gripping storytelling structure, which serves one bit of adrenaline-fueled sequence after the other with just the right hint of romance and personal melodrama in between, the key to Trigger Point’s success is Vicky McClure. Go to Full Review

Trigger Point's first episode is very much a statement of intent and scale – not just in terms of where it goes big and broad but where it’s small and precise, willing to let quiet moments of tension stand on their own. Go to Full Review

Zimasa K Nov 25 It’s a very mid tv series; for bomb experts they’re always tripping over bomb trip wires. I expected the team to be a well put together lethal bomb diffusing squad instead Lana is the only one that ever notices the actual threats. Also very poor character development, literally isn’t going anywhere. Good enough to have as background noise or simply to kill time. See more Paul P Nov 11 Let’s be honest it’s completely unbelievable, who in the real world employ a maverick bomb disposal operative who is incapable of following basic instructions , nobody would want to work with her as she’s a walking liability, having said that the rest of the cast are not much more than extras as she does everything single handed, I think a potentially good program has been spoiled by the need to over glamorise. See more Barrie S @Barrieboy Nov 9 Worth watching if you like foul-mouthed ‘manly’ characters doing their best to show you how good and brave they are, despite having god knows how many personal problems. None of it rings true. TV fodder. See more Edward L @Glyndower Oct 27 Bog standard police special squad drama marred by the usual dull performance from the second-rate Vicky McClure. See more Kristy 11/10/2024 I'm sure not everyone is a strong female lead-adrenaline-cop-drama junkie like me, even so, it's great brain candy. Fast paced, addictive, fun. Buckle up. See more Gael B 09/10/2024 My husband and I was so intrigued by this show! So intense, good story lines and great acting! Leave it to the British! 🥰 See more Read all reviews
