There's hardly enough here to sustain an episode within a regular television series made up of 13 or more episodes, let alone a miniseries like "True Detective" that's been needing to hit the gas for weeks.

"Other Lives" really did feel like a reboot, didn't it? And not really in a positive way. More like in a "now we're starting the real mystery, sorry we made you sit through all these Frank and Jordan arguments" sort of way
