Truth Seekers — Season 1

What to Know

Critics Consensus

It may not be as laugh-out-loud funny as Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's previous collaborations, but Truth Seekers is genuinely eerie, balancing out its silly sensibilities with creeping terror and a scary talented cast.

The first few episodes of "Truth Seekers" are somewhat disappointing, but the acting is strong and there's potential for improvement. Go to Full Review

Truth Seekers has all the charm of a self-deprecating British spin on Stranger Things. Go to Full Review

I found myself slowly charmed, mainly because Frost is so easy to watch, and the characters grow into their roles. Go to Full Review

Truth Seekers may not be rip-roaringly funny, but it does have a constant undercurrent of old-fashioned droll British humour retrofitted with some new-age sass. Go to Full Review

An underwhelming if warm eight-part series that posits the scariest theory of all: Frost and Pegg's powers are starting to wane. Go to Full Review

The writing is pretty good, and the story is suitably complex without being too taxing on the mind. The twists and payoffs are quite rewarding and unexpected. And the episodes are briskly paced too. Go to Full Review

* 80's D @Fury4128 08/01/2024 Really loved this show, binged it and was shocked when i realised there wasn't a season 2 BRING BACK TRUTH SEEKERS! See more Silvia F 07/17/2024 I LOVED THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!! NEEDS a season 2!!! Yall call yourselfs “critics” when you can’t tell apart a good show from a bad show. This was DEFINITELY A GREAT SHOW!! Stop canceling goood ass shows!! In today’s days it’s hard to find a good horror show/Comedy in one . But this show did it!! It definitely understood the assignment. And the actors were phenomenal! #reboot 🥳 See more Gareth v @geewah 06/24/2023 A show that has plenty of potential but in the end it lacks the wit and sharpness of most Frost/Pegg collaborations. In the end it comes across as a bit of poor man's Ghostbusters. A shame really See more torin f @nonlinearize 04/29/2022 Though certainly enjoyable and well-structured, TRUTH SEEKERS favors creepy-campy paranormal conspiracy over humor, and may be a little disappointing for fans of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's previous (glorious) collaborations. See more 04/02/2022 I really enjoyed this series. Offbeat, funny, kind of scary. Disappointed that there will be only the one season. See more ripper j @RJ2099 01/29/2022 It's ok, but not great. At first it was fine to have running in the background while I played games, but eventually I got bored and turned it off. See more Read all reviews
