TWISTED METAL, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

Its not so much an adaptation as it is an introduction for those who never played the game. The first season is a reworking of the story for a bigger picture. If the series continues, there’s a lot of promise that die-hard fans will be rewarded.

At first I thought it may be too campy/hokey to get into, though ended up being a fun time. Brought me back to the times playing that awesome Playstation game. SweetTooth ended up being a great character and I like Mackie. Rosa from Brooklyn 99 was cool to see her play a more dynamic character. Looking forward to s2.
