A British import that plays like a combination of the worst traits of Batman and Star Trek. Go to Full Review

To a large extent UFO is still very watchable (and looks great thanks to the restoration), even if effects have moved on considerably in the past several decades. Go to Full Review

Howard C @RT87813774 04/17/2022 Amazing for its time and it very largely holds up. Surprisingly dark. People pay dearly. Some excellent stories. Special efforts are very good: outstanding when you remember that it's 52 years old (and made on a British tv budget, but way ahead of the Doctor Who special effects of the day. I don't understand why it hasn't been remade. It's absolutely crying out for it. Two trivia: Wanda Ventham who plays Colonel Virginia Lake is Benedict Cumberbatch's mum. And Big Finish (best known for endless Doctor Who audio stories) is reimagining U.F.O. They are bringing out two audio sets of three stories each in August this year. (And NO, I'm not getting paid in any shape or form for the plug). One weakness: there are one or two jaw-dropping sexist scenes. And some aspects of the manly-men doesn't quite jive today but not egregiously. There's sensitivity in there too. I loved it as a kid and I love it now. See more peter m @RT17062669 12/10/2018 This is one of my all-time favourites. Serious, even grim sometimes with good strong episode plot lines and victory is always achieved at such terrible cost. If you can only watch one episode, watch timelash. See more Read all reviews
