Under the Vines is slow, gently sozzled, sundowner TV served with a few gigglers and some idiosyncratic characters as ballast. Go to Full Review

What makes this well-oiled machine more than the sum of its parts are the lead duo, who are exactly the kind of entertaining double act that keeps viewers coming back. Go to Full Review

Under The Vines isn't going to blow you away with edgy comedy or a story you've never seen before. But the show's leads, along with its supporting characters, have more than enough chemistry and charm to keep viewers engaged. Go to Full Review

Phelix B @RT12031900 03/12/2025 Possibly the most benign ABC show of the moment. Nothing remarkable about it, even the scenery is lacklustre given that could of been a draw card. Average acting, never understood why people are fond of the lead. Who is excited to watch this? Who watches it? See more Cindy M @CindyCindy 01/17/2023 I avoided Under the Vines for months, it looked contrived and silly. It is. But it also is warm, funny while addressing serious themes. The casting is ideal; each member of the ensemble cast is a fully fleshed out character and each has just the right quirks for their part. There is witty, serious and touching dialogue but there is a tremendous amount of nonverbal acting which is subtle and appropriate to help us understand the character. Scenery is beautiful, wardrobe is fun (and quirky too). See more Austin F @RT40604992 12/13/2022 beautifully filmed, good heartfelt story See more 12/29/2021 Feel good, honest comedy. Great characters and a great plot. See more 12/22/2021 Watched the first two episodes last night, while looking for something new to check out. Nothing spectacular or outrageously funny, but really nice chemistry between a couple of flawed, but basically good, folk. See more Read all reviews
