There’s no sense trying to explain Undone. It’s a hallucinogenic family dramedy that’s made to be seen and experienced, an ouroboros devouring its own tail—and enjoying every bite. Go to Full Review

Michal Z @RT05304871 Apr 27 Only with season 2 it is full story. It has some less intensive moments, but in the end it's a masterpiece. See more Torben E @Torben Apr 24 Loved the first season for its genre- and mind-bending character and -above all- Rosa Salazar. As Alma, she delivers a fantastic 10/10 performance, sometimes truly over the top but always brilliant and heartfelt. The second season is still great and concludes in an amazing, satisfying ending. I have just a minor complaint: there's lots of family drama before the conclusion arrives. And while this series is all about family, relationships, acceptance, etc., it takes a bit too long to make a point. I also didn't really like that the second season pulled the attention away from Alma and toward other family members. I understood and accepted it, of course as artistic freedom and a way to bring Alma's story to an end but I would have liked "more Alma" and "less family". But that's really a super small and very personal complaint; all in all season 2 is an amazing experience and should be watched with 100% attention. See more MohamadHosein p @Pouyandeh 02/05/2025 Undone is a series that artfully sidesteps a definitive explanation of its narrative, leaving us to ponder whether Alma is grappling with schizophrenia—or some other mental condition—or truly traversing time and alternate dimensions. In my view, the creator’s intent was never to choose one path over the other. Rather, the series is a meditation on acceptance. It’s not merely about diagnosing a mental illness or mapping out fantastical journeys through space and time. Instead, it invites us to embrace the reality of our imperfections. Alma’s journey is emblematic of accepting the inevitable losses and hardships of life: the death of a father, the illness of a grandmother, and the acceptance of a life that is, by nature, incomplete. There’s a memorable moment when Alma's mother asks her son why he hesitates to marry, to which he replies that he isn’t yet “complete” or “perfect.” This simple, yet profound admission reminds us that striving for perfection can sometimes prevent us from truly living. Moving forward in life, even in our unfinished state, is far better than not beginning at all. Ultimately, Alma’s choice to accept the truth of her existence mirrors a poignant exchange between her father and grandmother, where he laments that in his search for a solution, he missed out on truly being with her. This sentiment encapsulates the heart of the series: acceptance of life’s inherent flaws and the beauty found in its imperfect moments. In this light, Undone isn’t simply a narrative about mental illness or mystical travel—it’s a thoughtful exploration of what it means to live, love, and move forward despite life’s uncertainties.
