The relaxed and intimate teamwork of Walker and Bhaskar is reason enough to watch "Unforgotten," and in the story around them Lang has generally avoided both the overt sentimentality and the sensationalism that bring down most shows of this type. Go to Full Review

Had it been a new show, we might perhaps have been baying for more action. With this one, the sense was of a programme that's well-established enough to trust its viewers to trust it. Go to Full Review

It is even more compelling than the three British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award- winning seasons that preceded it because of the complicated issues, heightened tensions, stress and emotional pain in Stuart's personal life. Go to Full Review

Gary K Feb 3 Although still very good compared to the majority of similar series around at the moment, I felt the writing went downhill towards the end. [spoilers] The fountain pen element to the story was a stretch, both having it as the murder weapon and a way of identifying the owner. The car crash was a poor scene, the usual "shock" moment which then didn't fit in with "tyre marks" nor being able to drive away, or if so, it would have been abandoned immediately afterwards and they would have known it had been stolen anyway, just clumsy writing. Contrived scenes immediately afterwards to suggest one of the suspects was poor writing compared to the rest of the series. Apart from a few lapses though, it was a thoroughly intruiging and entertaining series. See more John S 07/22/2021 What a great series! Walker as Cassie Stuart is amazing and the actor playing Sunny is wonderful as well. My only slight complaint is that the Cassie character strains credulity somewhat: Could someone doing her job for 30 years really continue to be so empathetic? See more 07/22/2021 While thoroughly enjoyed, I felt some key elements were left unexplained (e.g., why victim's body was kept "on ice" for 30 years) See more mike p 07/18/2021 A murder mystery that is compelling, well acted and most importantly has been well scripted to develop the characters of both the dead, the suspects and the two star detectives.
