Her alters begin to fight for control of her body, with horrible consequences for Charmaine (Rosemarie DeWitt), who rejects Tara's help while welcoming the support of Neil (Patton Oswalt) when her baby is due. Meanwhile, Max struggles to work with his new boss after selling the family business, Marshall (Keir Gilchrist) becomes interested in film making, and Kate pursues opportunities to leave the country. But soon the emergence of a new alter that holds the secret to Tara's troubled past threatens to destroy her and her family.
