Based on the books "Bad Blood" by Vic Parsons and "The Gift" by Andre Picard, "Unspeakable" chronicles the early emergence of HIV and hepatitis C in Canada in the 1980s. It documents the tragedy that resulted in thousands of people who were infected by tainted blood. The blood scandal is one of the largest medical disasters in Canada's history, and it went on to trigger a federal inquiry and landmark lawsuit which resulted in billions of dollars being awarded to the victims. Robert C. Cooper was a victim of this and contracted hepatitis C from tainted blood.

12/22/2020 I had a lot of respect to Robert C. Cooper since Stargate times, he gave myself and millions of others many years of joy with the beloved universe that he built, all those great characters that he created and all those talents that he did cast. But I wasn't expecting at all to see a full fledged drama appearing under his feather. I was caught off guard and a bit overwhelmed by this short-series, going through 30 years of lives of the people impacted by the blood transfusion disaster in Canada. It's not the kind of content I fancy, but it was so well built and delivered, so I went all emotional in the last two episodes. Thank you for this Robert. PS. It was really nice to see so many Canadian sci-fi actors here, fans of SG, continuum and travelers would appreciate it. See more 12/10/2019 Gripping docudrama about a dark period in History! This should be taught in schools so nothing like it can ever happen again. See more 12/09/2019 a great story about an important time in history told with a character-first view that follows the life's journey of these people. A worth-while watch as it is both entertaining and informative. See more 12/08/2019 If you ask me what mini Series is a must see show I would Gladly to say is Unspeakable.
