Jan 23, 2023This series is incredible, one of they best sports doc series period.

Sep 24, 2022Read so many good review so I watched The Girlfriend Who Didn't Exist, or at least the first 50 minutes. Firstly, poor sound mix. Music too loud, muffled speech. Secondly, 50 minutes could have been told in 5. A big fuss about not a lot. Am I missing something?

Aug 21, 2022Brilliant documentaries

Aug 17, 2022Wow! I'm not a sports fan or even knew who Manti Te'o was before this documentary but it really showcased his strength and Ronaiah's truth. This was very well done and it's sad to see how reporters will say anything to get the ratings without thinking or caring what will happen to the person behind the story. Manti Te'o has a new fan 🌺🌺🌺

Sep 08, 2021While Episodes 1 & 4 are a touch above, other than the Jenner episode all are worth watching!
-
Sep 07, 2021Episodes one and five are the only ones worthy of a watch, but the tennis one grates because the puppet master, parents and coaches, aren't brought to task for creating these basket cases in the current game. Literally took their eye off the ball.

Sep 01, 2021I haven't seen the other 4 episodes, but malice in the palace, it was a very sad documentary, and Jermaine O'neal heavily paid the price.

Aug 31, 2021Sports documentaries have a long line of excellent entries, and this one depicting the infamous Pacers-Pistons-fans brawl at the Palace of Auburn Hills is yet another addition to that line.

Aug 30, 2021Malice at the Palace: 3.5* --I remember watching this game live with a good friend and aside from a few of the different perspectives offered, there was not much new here that I hadn't already seen or read.--------- Deal with the Devil: 3.5* --Never a good sign when one of the principal players in a doc is doing his interviews wearing a prison uniform, and usually the longer it takes to explain his circumstances, the worse it ends up being. This doc provides a mix of an interesting and notable sports achievement based story with some horrifically heartbreaking true crime through surprisingly candid interviews with all those involved.---------- Caitlyn Jenner: 3.5* --I had never actually seen this much footage of Bruce Jenner's world record decathlon and found Caitlyn's narration of the event inspiring.--------- Crimes and Penalties: 3.5* --This wild story was totally new for me and I'm not sure how I had never heard any of this before. I am definitely enjoying this Untold series and appreciate the diverse selection of stories for the episodes.---------- Breaking Point: 3.5* --I was very familiar with Mardy Fish's story so this was the least interesting doc for me, despite being the one with the most important message from the Untold series. All credit goes to Mardy for sharing his story and experience.

Aug 13, 2021This is good stuff. It was great to hear far more of the actual reality of what at went down rather than just the very one-sided corporate press gasbags all spitting out the same, exact storyline. Costas was a tool on this one, among a great many other. Ron Artest will still always be little more than a goon & an avg. player. Jackson was something to watch. I know he didn't play that 'hardass streets OG' bs with the Spurs. Pop, Timmy and Ginobli don't play that. But he had skills. But O'Neal was the best of the three. Still, I loved that Piston team, esp. the '03-04 team w/ that bench. This doc very clearly shows the real culprit behind the melee, that subhuman POS John Green. Also, Alvin Shackleford is a blatant liar and the real b**ch. This fool has no idea what a sucker punch is. If you step to another person like that, with him/her right in front of you, and they punch you, you just got lit up. If that was a sucker punch, then every single punch in boxing history would be a sucker punch. And finally, no, the Pacers were NOT winning the 'chip that season if not for 'the Malice'. The Pistons and Spurs were both better and healthy. 3.8 stars
