Daku B @RT09785402 Mar 18 I loved this series growing up, same with the Blue Bloods Vampire Series. I was excited that they made a movie and was let down by the movie and then the show came to be and was even more let down then The movies. The series is a mess and has deviated from the books so much that I was beyond upset, I watched the entire series to try and see why they made the decisions they did and couldn’t help but be critical the entire time. I wish we would get a movie or show that is actually good and accurate to the books. I tried and in the end I’m still very disappointed and kinda wished the tv show never existed because it doesn’t do the books justice and it’s terrible interpretation leading others who have never read to books to most likely not be interested in the book series. Even though the series has its own spin on the story, I actually didn't mind it at all - on the contrary it left me wanting to see how they manage to tie it all together. I liked the chemistry, the characters' personalities and the setting. Overall, I was devastated to find out they never continued. See more Queen B @RT09501534 Jun 10 It really is an enjoyable show from the crazy chemistry between each character romantically and platonically to the plot twists and action. I think the biggest fault was it wasn’t an accurate adaptation of the books but I don’t think that should take away from the show. All these salty fans who negatively rated this show came from a completely biased perspective. I think the only thing I would differently is the costumes they look cheap and maybe be a little more book accurate with the little things like Dimitri’s accent. To close I would say this is Julie Plec’s depiction/rendition of VA and I think it was a genuinely good show that needs a Netflix revival or something.
