What to Know

Critics Consensus

With charming performances and a tightly paced story, Vanished delivers some entertaining mystery, even if its plot is familiar and the suspense never fully sticks.

Not a Must Watch
It's a completely soapy-water style type of acting. It just didn't really work for me at all. But also at the same time, the bad quality is what made it good." Go to Full Review

If you have had a very bad day, Vanished is slight and daft and distracting enough to soothe a fractious soul. Other than that, let us hope both the leads get a chance to show up in something much, much better next time. Go to Full Review

Theoretically, then, Vanished should hit some of the same pleasure centers that The Flight Attendant did. Instead, this miniseries plays like a version of that story with all its personality and ambition removed. Go to Full Review

Vanished, starring Kaley Cuoco, is fine but doesn't evoke many feelings of interest or intrigue. Go to Full Review

Vanished certainly doesn’t overstay its welcome, and with only four action-packed episodes, there’s no time to get bored or distracted. Especially because there are several worthy twists and turns that took me by surprise (not all, but many). Go to Full Review

joaquin L @RT99168422 5d Not bad. It was a good watch. I liked the twists and feel like Kaley did a good job. I thought the ending was creative and loved the scenery. See more 'Woody' D @DontMakeMeYawn 5d The first two episodes held my attention and interest, then the plot and believability went down the gurgler. Can't see how there could be a second season that will make any sense, unless all different characters. See more Ivan F @Neogrey 6d Do not waste your time with it. If The Flight Attendant was somewhat entertaining this one is a poor attempt for a commercial film about France to drive US visitors. Kaley as an archaeologist, yeah. And the budget James Cavill... please no. See more Nancy B @Nanceee Mar 11 Now starting episode 3. Its very painful to get through every episode . Although I love Kaely and Sam is an amazing actor . I just don't see these two as a couple or even acting together in a series . .Also very silly in ep. 3 that when Alice sees herself on TV ..she takes her sunglasses off llol. She needs to keep them on to help hide her identity !!I Will keep watching as I'm curious to know the end of the story. Thank God there are only 4 episodes ! See more umberto A @Lucasriver Mar 1 I am writing this review to say a big THANK YOU to the producers, directors and writers of "Vanished". Thank you so much! Your utterly mediocre series saved me a lot of time in the future. A time I will use watching old movies, reading books etc instead of wasting my time with the avalanche of third class tv series which took over tv in the last years. "Vanished" was the last drop. I realised that it's pointless to try "new" series because they all use the same formula and obey the same political agenda. They change actors and locations but the stories are basically the same. The market is over saturated. They are so scared to "offend" that they point all their guns to the only group which they consider fair game: heterosexual men, especially if they are white and middle aged/old. It's tiresome Series such as Mad Men or The Wire, for example, are sumptuous banquets. The Vanished is a stale bread with a cold cup of tea with too much sugar. And no cream.
