02/22/2021 Overwrought. Terrible acting meets terrible writing, and is then scored by a Halloween Spooky Sound Effects CD. The actress playing Marina tries valiently to demonstrate for her cast-mates what a nuanced performance is, but apparently at some point in their careers, a director said, "Bigger! Can you do bigger?" and they never looked back. See more 11/01/2020 The cold case genre was still relatively fresh when this was first broadcast. Trevor Eve & Sue Johnston's chemistry and performances stand out the most while the remaining cast develop their characters more as the series progresses. It's noticeable from the pilot from Eve's character has a partner and baby, however fortunately I think they were right with the character of Luke Boyd which gave Eve more humanity to a steely performance.
